Terms and Conditions – Service Quest

Welcome to Service Quest (www.servicequest.com.au), your trusted platform for exceptional home cleaning and related services across the Northern Beaches and North Shore of Sydney, Australia. By accessing our website, booking services, or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully to understand your rights and obligations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting services, booking through www.servicequest.com.au, or using our platform, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Service Quest Pty Ltd (ABN 66 688 076 922), an Australian proprietary limited company.

2. Services

We offer the following services, subject to availability and Admin approval:

  • Cleaning Services: Standard, deep cleaning, and end-of-lease options.
  • Personal Care
  • Garden Maintenance
  • In-House Tech Support
  • Window Cleaning Service Quest reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion with reasonable notice, where practicable.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Rates: Pricing reflects 2025 Sydney market averages, adjusted for premium quality, and varies by service type, location, and conditions. Detailed rates are available on www.servicequest.com.au or provided at booking.
  • Payment: Payments are processed securely via Stripe upon job completion. No payment is due until you are satisfied with the service. Additional charges  may apply and will be disclosed prior to booking.
  • Exclusive 10% Discount Offer: New Customers receive a 10% discount on their first booking, automatically applied at checkout via WooCommerce. This offer is valid for one use per household within 30 days of registration, applies to service fees only (excludes additional charges), and cannot be combined with other promotions. Proof of eligibility may be required.

4. Booking and Cancellation

  • Booking: Made via our real-time platform. Customers will be notified when a job is accepted or cancelled.
  • Cancellation: Customers must notify us 24 hours prior to service for a full refund. Late cancellations may incur a fee up to 50% of the service cost. Admins or Helpers may cancel with reasonable notice, with refunds issued promptly.
  • Refunds: If unsatisfied, contact us within 24 hours; we will re-service or provide a full refund at our discretion.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate booking details, safe premises access, and a suitable working environment for Helpers.
  • Prohibit misuse of the platform, unauthorised dashboard access, or interference with service delivery.
  • Customers are responsible for insuring valuable items and obtaining necessary consents 

6. Helper and Admin Roles

  • Helpers: Register, log in, accept tasks, and update job status (e.g., assigned, completed) via their dashboard. Helpers must comply with police checks, training standards, and e requirements where applicable.
  • Admins: Approve Helpers, assign or cancel jobs, and ensure compliance with these Terms and applicable laws.

7. Liability and Insurance

  • Service Quest holds public liability and workers’ compensation insurance. We are not liable for damages, injuries, or losses arising from customer negligence, pre-existing conditions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  • Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law. Any warranties implied by law (e.g., fitness for purpose) are excluded where legally permissible.

8. Privacy and Data

  • We collect and store data (e.g., booking details, feedback) via our CRM and booking system, complying with the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). See our Privacy Policy at https://servicequest.com.au/privacy-policy/ for details.
  • Real-time tracking uses data to enhance service delivery, with your consent, and is protected by encryption and secure hosting.

9. Compliance

  • All staff are police-checked and trained in relevant standards where applicable.
  • Service Quest adheres to all applicable Australian laws, including workplace health and safety regulations.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Contact us at admin@servicequest.com.au for complaints. We aim to resolve issues within 24 hours. Unresolved disputes may escalate to mediation under the laws of New South Wales, with costs shared equally unless otherwise determined.

11. Termination

  • We may terminate services or access to the platform for breaches (e.g., non-payment, misuse) with written notice. Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations for completed services.
  • You may terminate your account with 30 days’ notice, subject to outstanding payments.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New South Wales courts.

13. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these Terms with notice posted on www.servicequest.com.au at least 30 days in advance via email or portal notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Intellectual Property

  • All content on www.servicequest.com.au (e.g., logos, text) is owned by Service Quest Pty Ltd and protected by Australian copyright law. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

15. Force Majeure

  • Service Quest is not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes), provided we notify you promptly.
